Got to Key West a lil late on Saturday evening, and instead of using my handy dandy Yelp app on my phone (Mistake #1), we decided to trust the concierge (mistake #2). We walked down Duval from our hotel over to Jack Flats and saw that it was full, so we assumed that was a good sign. The place was packed, all the screens had college football games or baseball going on them and everyone was cheering for their favorite team....so all this was good. The bad part came with the food and the beer. Now, I am not that picky when it comes to beer, as long as its cold- I'm good! The problem with the beer here is that they serve it to you in warm, small, plastic cups (very a la house party '92) and then they don't have any bags of ice for the pitchers! We asked the girl for a way to keep the beer cold and she suggested a plastic cup with ice...um, ok? I didn't mind giving the cup a try, but DO NOT put it down on the tables which was last reaaally cleaned lord knows when before putting it in our pitcher...ew! The cup also became a problem when puring bc of course, the melted water would want to rush out and join the beer party in our cups. Pretty frustrating. The food was just okay. Nothing to write home about at all. We came here because our concierge told us it was "upscale" bar food, but it wasn't that at all. The buffalo Key West Shrimp were decent, the local bites of fried fish were just okay and lacking some flavor, my husband's shrimp and bacon club was also lacking flavor, and my seared tuna salad was okay, but the tuna was a little too veiny IMO. Needless to say, we finished our meal, chugged our warm beer, and got out of this place as fast we could.... If you want to go here to watch a game or several at a time, and don't care about beer temperature or food quality, then this is your place to be....if you do care about all the later stated-stay away

Great food! Great adult libations! Great staff! And sports everywhere. One of the best bars on the island. Probably the best food you can get in a sports bar atmosphere.

Corporate bar that is typical of everything that is wrong with Key West. The drinks are measured, the bartenders are robots, & there is no character. Though there are plenty of TV's, there are better places to watch a game. The food was dead average, but pricey. My advice is to find a different bar.

My parents claim this place makes their favorite mahi mahi sandwich in all of Key West (and believe me, they've tried a lot), but I'm not convinced. I like the ahi tuna salad a lot, but the tuna's not the freshest I've ever had. Service is a little slow. Overall, a good place to go.

Jack Flats is a sports bar. Their website says that they have 7 big screen yes but they have many large flat screens. They get NFL Ticket. Sitting at our table we could see 4 diff. NFL games and golf, tennis, nascar and soccer all within a head turn. The food was good but it's still bar food. Drinks good too!

Great prices, yummy food, good service, good bar for watching sports. What else do you need?

This place was great, we were looking for a place to catch a college game and we found this place by mere luck. When we arrived we told our waiter what game we wanted to see and even though we were about two hours too kick off, they reserved the two tv's in front of us with the games we wanted to see...cool.. The menu was great I was not that hungry but I order the dolphins fingers and they were great fresh and filling. The rest of the party order from burgers to salads and they were all great.. Next time I'm in Key West, I'm definitely stopping there

Trip to Key West - $300, grilled chicken salad at this place - $12, food poisoning and a beautiful vacation day wasted - priceless.

Went here to watch the Blackhawks hockey game while staying in Key West. We did not eat here as we had just come from another crappy dinner in Key West but I felt this place was worthy of some compliments. The beer was ice cold, the televisions were great and you get your own little switchable squawk box so you can hear the audio for your game (very cool), the bartender (sorry did not get his name) was very attentive and served us quickly anytime we needed something. All in all very nice people who seem to actually like working there, which is unusual as I encountered a lot of crab asses who have bad attitudes in Key West. The bathrooms were clean and smelled good. HIGHLY recommend Jack Flats to drink and watch a game.

I like Jack Flats. Maybe it's the company, or the fact that this is a very familiar place to me.. but I enjoy it here. Gretchen, one of the bartenders is kick-ass. They've got a nice flow to the place, and sitting at the bar to eat my mahi sliders while having a beer and watching the game made my lazy Sundays on the island feel even more like home. Hooray for Jack Flats!

We were wandering around Duval Street just checking out menus on walls. My wife had a taste for a burger and I had a taste for pretty much anything. Upon looking at the menu, this place immediately caught my eye, however we kept walking to see what else may catch our eye. As we were walking, nothing seemed to jump out at us. We decided to start asking locals were to get the best burger in town. They all agreed that Jack Flats is the place to go for a burger! We turned around and headed back to see if they could live up to the hype.. This is a good size place with a huge bar that runs the length of the building and they had plenty of seating. Our server did a good job taking very good care of us. We started out with an order of coconut shrimp. They were outstanding! My wife had a burger and I must agree that they had a very tasty burger. It wasn't the best that I ever had but it was pretty darn good. I had a grouper sandwich and this place just raised the bar for fish sandwiches for me. Every time I have a fish sandwich, I am going to be comparing it to the fish sandwich here. The breading was outstanding and very crisp and the inside was very flaky and delicious. By far, the best I have ever had. The fries were very good too. I don't think they were fresh cut fries. Maybe it could have been the oil they were cooked in? I can't seem to put a finger on it but they were very good indeed! In the future, it is going to be very difficult to try out a new place the next time we head down to Key West knowing that Jack Flats is out there. We made an excellent lunch choice!

Found Jack Flats on a walk back from Southernmost Beach Cafe to our hotel, Hyatt Sunset Harbor. Had the grouper sandwich and the Reuben. Both sandwiches were pretty good and the fries were great. The bill was very reasonable and the waitress was great. Quite a few large screen TVs for the sports fanatic. Will definitely go back before we leave the area.

I don't think anyone would dispute that the real draw of this place is that its wallpapered with projection screens. Get there early, and it's a great spot for Sat/Sun football. Reasonably priced, good beer selection, food is alright. I've mostly had apps, which were ok... oddly the best thing I had there was a pretty solid garden salad. Craziness.

  • Kristy S.

A nice sports bar, not high end, but definitely not a dive. I would totally go back there. They had a ton of TVs over the bar and we had a friendly waitress. The Arroz Con Pollo was very tasty - with savory Cuban style roast chicken, yellow rice, black beans and fried sweet plantains. And very reasonably pricd at $12.

Good environment but mediocre food IMO.

This place is great although I've never been during a "rush" time. we've been there a couple of times always on a weekday so never had to wait for a table or service. Not the typical food you'd expect at a "sports bar" - they have some delicious dishes. I always have fish sandwiches and theirs was excellent. Another time I had burritos and they were very yummy as well. I see another person had the Arroz con Pollo - the bf had this and was very impressed. I'd recommend it, but probably not during rush hour - lots of sports stuff - i imagine it's packed during a game!

  • Mike S.

This place is a must for sports fans visiting Key West. As a Torontonian, never in my life did I expect to be able to watch a hockey game live on TV within 90 miles of Cuba, let alone a USA/Canada Olympic hockey game. The place was doing steady business and everyone was into the hockey game, again not something I expected in the tropics.

  • Sharon B.

Stopped in for a drink to get out of the heat. Decent bar food and lots of big televisions. Good place to watch sports but not exactly fine dining. We had chili & cheese dip and chips, turkey sandwich and tex mex chicken rolls and it was all good. Attentive service.

    (3)
  • Jeremy D.

Definitely one of the better places in Key West to catch a game on TV. Lots of big screens, a really long bar, and friendly bartenders + good A/C! I visited Jack Flats twice. The first time I had a Cuban sandwich. It was the best Cuban I had in Key West. It's not 100% authentic, but I can't argue with adding bacon to any sandwich. The second visit I had a hamburger. Several reviews say it's the best in Key West. I thought it was a good burger and it was HUGE, but it wasn't in my top 10 burgers list. All and all, a solid bar with good food.

  • Steve M.

Great sports bar in Key West which probably has at least one TV tuned to what you're looking for. Great service, good wings, cold beer and drinks. Good stop on Duval

    (4)
  • Rory B.

OK.. I am giving this place a 3 star because if you want to watch any kind of sports game, it is the best place to watch it and it is right on Duval. Many, Many very large TVs.. I have to say over the bar each TV was 52 inch or better. We had two kinds of wings, they were very good. The people were all into their games. If you don't like sports, it is not a place for you. Pricing was reasonable.

  • Jerry E.

I end up at this place every time I'm in Key West and enjoy it every time. Great place to get out of the heat and cool off with an adult beverage. The food is typical bar food, but very good. The staff, especially the bar staff, are friendly and efficient.

    (4)
  • Paul G.

I don't recommend this place. The food was average bar food.....but the service was terrible. It looks like they under-staff the place so expect to wait. But, if you're just looking for some beers to watch a football/baseball game, this is a good option.

    (2)
  • Dara S.

4 stars for THE Sports Bar in Key West. Many screens to watch many different games while you imbibe many different kinds of beer. Food is typical Sports Bar fare, but what else do you want in a place like this?? Casual, relaxed atmosphere with good food.

    (4)
  • Trevor B.

Not your typical sports bar fare-much better! I had the pot roast and my wife had a wasabi encrusted tuna salad. The salad was supposed to come with sesame tuna, but our friend's wasabi tuna appetizer was so good that we requested it on the salad, and the waitress was more than happy to accommodate us. Great place to watch a game.

Jack Flats has very solid food at great prices. It's pretty much a sports bar with way above-average bar food and tons of TVs. We had a long evening of a sunset cruise followed by a ghost tour right after so we didn't have enough time to get dinner. By the time the tour was over, we were starving. Our tour guide mentioned a discount with our tickets, so we headed over to Jack Flats, remembering as we walked in that we had eaten there last year. BF ordered a fried grouper sandwich that was enormous. At least 3 inches of fish coming out of the bun on either side! I ordered a grilled shrimp club sandwich. We could have easily shared one dish and been full, but we were so hungry that our brains weren't functioning. It's nothing special, but the food is very tasty and portions are big for what you pay. It's a great late night spot if you're looking for something like that. We presented our ghost tour ticket stubs and got a 10% discount.

Went there on a Sunday for lunch while in town. The burritos were awesome!!! Prices are about as reasonable as youll find on Duval. Beer was cold. Lots of Tvs. Looked like a locals kind of place. All the games were on and it had a real fun casual vibe to the place. Service was good too.

  • Ronn F.

Ate here in Feb 2010, best grouper sandwich in Key West - staff was average (don't come to my table with food all over your uniform) and it is the only reason I didn't give five stars. Excellent projection tv's everywhere - manager came to our table and seemed genuinely interested in our experience.

  • Clint N.

Our hotel recommended this place to us because we specifically wanted coconut shrimp. We came here not knowing what else they had. What a nice surprise this place is!!! Not only was their coconut shrimp the best we'd ever had, but all the other food we had was amazing!!! We came back the next day for dinner. Their wraps are amazing!!!! I highly recommend it!!! We will be back here on every trip to Key West!! Also, I loved that they had my favorite beer: Funky Buddha Floridian!!!! Delish!!!

  • Kelli S.

Watched the USA World Cup game. Great atmosphere and tons of TV's! Appetizers were good and our first experience with our server was good. Later, after checking out some other spots we ended back here for dinner and got the same server. I wasn't impressed with the dinner selections. I ended up trying the meatloaf. I wasn't a fan. The second time out server seemed more concerned about finishing her side work than us, because after the food came we didn't see her again until she brought the check, and it was well before closing time. It we had just stuck with this place for the game and had not come back for dinner, it probably would be a 5 star review.

We visited here in Key West. Our waitress Erica was awesome. Helped us with menu questions. Very nice outgoing young lady. I had the special Taco salad and hubby had Grilled Dolphin sandwich. Both very good. Food came out fast and hot. Service was terrific. Thank you Erica!

Huge projection tv's to watch all sports on. Prices are very reasonable for the keys. Food was fairly good. I got the grouper sandwich. Big peace of fish on the bun. Make this part of your deval crawl.

This place was nice because it stayed open until 1am. When in key west, you look for places that serve drinks as well as food. I had the popcorn shrimp dinner which was everything I expected. It filled me up, great proportion. The service was really slow. I waited & waited for the waitress to give me a check or to check up in how the food was. I would say that was the only disappointment. everything else about this place was cool.

My husband and I stopped by to have lunch and watch the World Cup games. The pretzel appetizers and shrimp and bacon club were delicious!

  • Catherine B.

This is a great place to watch sports (we watched almost all the World Cup Games here) and enjoy a nice meal in COOL AIR CONDITIONING! It is very clean with a good selection of food and a great beer selection. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. It is great for kids. The wings are some of the best I've ever had. I love the Margarita Chicken.

  • Jackee O.

This place was great. The buffalo wrap was awesome, and the cheesesteak was also good. Someone else in our party got the burger and said it was delicious. They have several tvs and plenty of games to watch'

  • Chad W.

Definitely the best sports bar in Key West. We watched playoff hockey here, and the bar actually had the sound on. I feel like that's a rarity in the Key West bar world. There's nothing really stand-out here, but everything we triedwas good. I had a blackened mahi sandwich as well as Tex Mex rolls, which were basically wrapped up nachos...probably pre-made but still tasty. You really can't screw up a fish sandwich. Good beer runs ~$5 a beer, and drinks are reasonable as well. If you're looking for a game, you'll definitely find it here.

  • Rick B.

Best sports bar in Key West. Great food all around with a really nice menu for a place like this. Lots of giant TVs and great service. This place is not as small as it looks when you walk in so there IS a lot of room if it looks too crowded. The service is great, highly recommended...

  • Myke F.

You don't go to a sports bar for fine cuisine, you go for televisions and drinks, both of which Jack Flats has an over abundance of. Tons of screens makes this place ideal to watch a game... I had two games I wanted to watch that we're on at the same time, and they were more than able to get them both on, plus a dozen more! The menu is standard for a sports bar. The wings were decent and super spicy, even the medium buffalo have some kick. The sliders were essentially White Castle burgers, except cooked to order with a better bun. The chicken parm was good, although the sauce run of the mill. Generally speaking, typical bar food, of standard taste and quality. The service was great, always ready to add water, get another beer, constantly checking up. The employees make the place. As does the fully stocked bar with a great beer selection, If you want a sports bar, to catch a game, get some wings and have some drinks, then check it out! There is much better food, but as far as sports bars go, Jack Flats is a good one,

    (3)
  • Dano R.

My wife and I stopped in as we walked along Duval St. We tried the blackened Mahi sliders which were very good. Along with a cold beer, this place is reasonable and a great place to stop for a great lunch.

  • Amy G.

Pretty good good here. My boyfriend get the shrimp bacon club he loves it. I had a the Caesar salad and it was good! They have tv everywhere so it's good for watching games b

Sports bar type environment. It can be loud when there is a game on. Ask for Riley I think was her name. Good waitress and attractive. We had wings, coconut shrimp, nachos, blackened mahi sliders, burger, and fish bites. Everything was good except for the mahi sliders. My wife got sweet potato fries with the burger and they are the best sweet potato fries I think I've ever had.

  • Patty W.

We were hungry and we wanted some dinner, so we settled for here after we looked at several menus along Duval Street. It is reasonable and we had no problem getting a table right away. The hockey game was on and it was exciting to watch it since most of the customers were rooting for Tampa Bay. The pot roast was perfectly cooked and I thought the mashed potatoes could of used a little more seasoning. I'm not a fan of the fresh green beans since I love the ones that comes out of the can a whole lot better. Our server did a good job with taking care of us and making sure we had full cups of liquids at all times. There are a lot of TVs here and there must of been every game on all at one place. Score!

Amazinggggg! Loved the food, atmosphere and service. Thanks Matt for hooking it up!

Was in town with friends and we were looking for a late-night place that was open and that didn't have four dollar signs. (Surprisingly, a lot of places close relatively early on a Friday night!) We were walking down Duval and found this gem. If you are into sports, there are A TON of TVs! I wasn't particularly interested in the various sports games going on, but it wasn't a huge distraction. (I don't think I could say the same if this place was packed with a bunch of rowdy fans.) As far as food goes, I had the chicken sandwich, and it was tasty! Our server was super attentive and always made sure we had refills on our drinks. This would be a solid choice if you want something relatively cheap to eat when it's late at night!

Excellent food and service! be prepared for a good time and your stomach smiling to! It was a very pleasent experience!

Fish & chips - very fresh and well done. If I had a complaint it would be too greasy. Good fries. Shrimp club sand - huge - a good club sandwich

Good buffalo shrimp & coconut shrimp. Yummy mahi sliders! Great place to watch sports, tv's everywhere!

    (5)
  • Joe B.

Terrible bar from the beginning. The staff was rude brought in a group of fifteen on my wedding weekend, we took over a table and it went south from there, if I was visiting Key West I wouldn't give them my money. Enter at your own risk.

    (1)
  • Andrew J.

Jack Flats is a nice place to cool off and watch a game on a hot day in Key West. Large projection TVs everywhere so you have a good view from anywhere in the restaurant. The kitchen is open late, until 1:00 am and the food is very tasty...burgers, cheesesteaks, fish sandwiches, etc. and a good draft beer selection too. Clean, friendly service, moderate prices and smoke-free.

    (3)
  • Ryan R.

Eh. Not bad if you're early for the Marriot Beachside resort shuttle pick-up across the street and you want a fast beer. Didn't try the food, but looked typical. Staff is quick and friendly, and you can zone out on one of the gazzilion TVs mounted above the bar. But beware, the 3x we stopped in for one beer, it smelled like a backed up cess-pool...literally. Not quite an appetizing aroma!!!

    (2)
  • Fabian C.

We went here looking for a quick bite before hitting the bars. It's definitely a good sports bar with lots of TV's (w e were able to catch a few innings of the Mets game) and the food is good. Nothing WOW about it, but it works as a good sports bar. I had a cheese steak sandwich with some nachos to start off. My wife like the half burger half buffalo chicken wrap she split with another friend. They had a large selection of domestic beers and big booths to sit in (although we moved around a few times because we were told there were bigger booths). The waitress was very friendly. Not a bad spot for some bar food and watching the game while in Key West.

    (3)
  • Sarah Q.

Food was good, not exceptional though. Loved the beer cheese soup. Great place to watch a sporting event or hang out with friends. Service was average in comparison to the rest of the island. Place was clean and Beers were cold

  • Fred K.

If you're in Key West and just HAVE to see that game, go here. A good sports bar set-up; lots of TV's and they will bring a speaker to your table so you can theoretically hear the sound, although the one we got to watch/listen Bruins/Caps game 7 looked and sounded like something out of a 1960's drive-in theatre. Service was just OK, our waitress kept forgetting things. Food is decent bar fare, so don't set your expectations too high. Especially liked the grouper sandwich, a nice big filet of grouper on a fresh bun.

  • alexis h.

Just like any American sports bar... We were looking for a place to eat quick and walked in. Service was excellent.. Food was eh.. We ordered the dolphin sandwich which was actually pretty good for being FROZEN after our waitress told us it was fresh!! We expected fresh fish after being in the land of fish but were steered wrong!! Don't go here expecting awesome food- Our bad for not doing our research first and walking into what looked like a chain restaurant- but we figured it was on Duval Street must be good. I will say great service and good atmosphere!

    (3)
  • Brock H.

We couldn't agree on a place to eat so we settled on this place. I had a burger and my wife had the shrimp club. Both we're good but not outside of the traditional chain store fair. If you're really looking for Applebee's taste in Key West then give it a try, if not then find another restaurant.

    (3)
  • Ev P.

Good place to watch a game. Spacious unlike other spots on Duval St. Buffalo shrimps are awesome! Wasabi crusted tuna is delish too, definitely will clear the nasal passages!!

    (3)
  • Suzanne D.

A great place to watch sports with excellent food. But what makes it special are the guys behind the bar. My husband learned his best friend had passed and the bartenders were so understanding and kind. A class act.

  • Troy B.

We went here to watch Packers/Lions on New Years day. We got there late and couldn't get a table, but there was plenty of room to stand and tons of TVs to watch. He's a Lions fan and I'm a Packers fan. I think he felt a bit lonely as there were tons of Packers fans. We had a good time, bartenders were great. After the 3rd quarter a nice couple gave us their stools so we could get some eats. We had wings which were good. This is a great place to watch a game, good friendly crowd

Great service from Friday. Cobb salad was great. Wife's Reuben was just ok.

  • Kristen P.

This is a great place to watch a game. TVs on every part of the wall. The pretzel sticks are amazing. A must have if you come here. The food is your typical bar food. Had the buffalo wrap, sliders, burger and Philly. Overall great atmosphere to watch a game and just hangout for a bit.

Good service. Really good grouper sandwich. Pretty good burger. Great spot for bar food, drinks, and sports. Tons of giant tv's.

Found Jack Flats while strolling Duval Street looking for someplace affordable to eat. Hubby had pot roast which he said was fabulous, tender, and delish. I had the coconut shrimp which was excellent also! Service was great and friendly! Would go back on our next trip to Key West!

  • Christian M.

I Wanted to eat some dinner on Duval St that wouldn't kill my budget. My gf and I were sat behind a booth not the best seat in the joint but hey we were hungry. I ordered the grouper sandwich with fries and my gf ordered the meatloaf with mash potatoes . My sandwich was alright, more batter then fish , the fries were ok nothing special. My gf's meatloaf looked like cafeteria meatloaf. Nothing out of the ordinary with these dishes, if you are hungry and don't want to spend too much come here. Typical bar type food prob a good place to drink and have some burgers.

    (2)
  • John D.

It's a sports bar, and it has a great view of the game. We went there to watch the Bruins in game 7, and they had it on every screen in the place, with audio. We only ordered pitchers of Sam's, but the service was good and the ambiance was as a sports bar should be.

    (4)
  • Dave P.

OK, Ive been here many times before and I have enjoyed it. But that was a few years ago. This is another typical Key West sports bar. It is a decent place to stop for beers and watch a game. NOTHING else. The wife and I stopped in and wanted a snack and a beer, nothing else. Service was fine and the a/c was working well. We each ordered a beer and I ordered a dozen hot wings. She ordered beef sliders. The food came out about 15 minutes later. The wings were not cooked near long enough. They had a nice rubber consistency. The hot sauce had an odd flavor. I couldn't finish all of them. That is unheard of for me and chicken wings. They were BAD! I tried one of her sliders. They were cooked fine but they also had an ODD flavor....yuck. I'm not sure what the hell happened to this place but do not go here to eat. Have a drink, watch a game, and get the hell out.

  • Kristen C.

Food was just a notch above average (We had nachos as an appetizer, which was actually really good. I had the turkey club) for a sports bar but I loved the experience! Our server was extremely patient, competent and friendly!!! We went to watch the first Gator game of the season and it was filled to the brim with Gators and Gator fans! They had good drink specials; I would definitely go back! Good times!

Good place to watch a game, have a beer, and get some better than average pub fare! We went here based on a recommendation from someone working at a visitor's info booth. Service was initially slow to take our order despite being empty. But the waitress was very attentive afterwards and even the manager came by to check on us. Their beer selection goes beyond Bud and Coors with some craft beers and imports. I ordered the Shrimp Club Sandwich. It had a lot of Key West pink shrimp cooked just right with plenty of bacon and a nice flavored mayo. My friend got the cheeseburger and said that it was a better than average burger. The prices are a little high, but in line with all the other places in Key West. The place looked a little grungy towards the back of the place, but I think that was because of the dark decor and poor lighting. The restrooms were clean.

    (3)
  • Joe W.

Allot of TV's here. No Happy Hour regardless what time of the day you show up here. I tried the Mahi Sandwhich, which was decent, but nothing to write about. I think it was overpriced by about $2 though by the quantity that you get when you order it!

This was a great place to watch the Sunday games. Food was great and the service was good as well. Lively place with bunches of TVs.

While on vacation in Key West tonight, the Phillies were on ESPN, the Flyers were playing the Sabres and 76ers against the Heat. Thanks to Yelp, we knew where to go, Jack Flats! We got there and asked about the best place to sit for the Phillies games and the guy did one better, sat us with a great view of all 3! The beer was good(tough to mess up Corona). Key West style Cuban pork, sliders, wings and nachos were all very good. Thanks for the help"

I really liked this place. They show all of the games on Sunday, with plenty of screens to go around and they post a little sign to let u know what games are being shown on them. Steak and cheese sandwich and southwest rolls are good. It was packed so u must get there early if u want a seat unless your game is at 4 then it clears out some. I really like the local feel of this place despite there being fans of every team in the house. Two thumbs up!

Just stopped in for a drink and overall the place looked like it would be a great place to watch a game. I would have to go back and try the food.

I came here Saturday night during lobster-fest this past weekend. I ordered the Dolphin Sandwich, it was really good. Fresh and tasty. Actually, my whole group agreed that the food was all very good. The prices are very competitive as well, The bill came out to about $65 and there were six of us.. so there you go. One thing happened while we were there that was pretty annoying/exciting... the power went out!! Actually half of Duval street went out for a good 30 minutes. As luck would have it we had JUST ordered about 5 minutes prior so our food came when there was almost complete darkness in the restaurant. It was difficult to see our plates even though the waitress brought over a flashlight for us.. the lights finally came back on as we were all finishing up our dinner. Not the restaurants fault.. probably just an overload from all the festivities that were happening that day. Still, lights or not, the food here is great.. there wasn't too much of a wait, and the prices are reasonable.

We went here to watch the football games one Sunday during our vacation in Key West. They have Sunday Ticket so every game is on and they have a ton of TVs. The bar stays so full, though, you have to go early to get a table. The food was pretty good and awesome beer selection. The Key West Blueberry Ale on draft is one of my new favorite beers.

My Fiancé and I stopped here for a quick bite. It's your typical bar food. The place itself was large with a large bar area and lots of TVs. The service was okay but the drinks and food were just horrible. I had the Tex-Mex egg rolls and they were so horrible I couldn't eat them. I also ordered margarita and it tasted like sewer water to me. My Fiancé ordered a Cobb salad and I think my 6 year old could have put one together better. It is very overpriced for what it is. With all of the other food options on Duval in Key West don't waste your time or money here.

We were looking for a family friendly restaurant which isn't necessarily easy to find on Duval besides the chain restaurants like Hard Rock, this was recommended to us by the bartender at Blue Heaven and I'm glad we went! Kids menu was good and the waitress was nice enough to offer a half portion for our ten year old who wanted to order off the adult menu. We liked it so much we ate dinner there the next night too.

Good, friendly service. Tons of TVs to keep your ADD in check. Terrific chili. Mahi sliders had nice spice but could have been fresher. Daughter liked her burger sliders and prolly the best, crispest French fries on the island. My burger was cooked as requested but could use more seasoning, tater tots were fantastic, but then again, any such thing as a bad tater tot?

Zack, the bartender welcomed us immediately and made us feel right at home. I was pretty noncommital about a cocktail so I asked him to make a suggestion. "Key West Lemonade" was his reply. Done. Damn that was good! Going to have to move that into the summer drink rotation! A nice bar with friendly people and waitstaff. Not sure about the food but the adult beverages were excellent.

This was kind of a Average place all day long. It was pretty much the average sports bar set up. Long bar, kinda dirty feeling, lots of TVs and a bartender who was... I dunno. OK. I got water and he was a little slow on keeping it filled. That's not a HUGE deal since he did come along both times after it was empty only a couple-few minutes and then refilled it. I was getting food. I got Margarita Chicken which was chicken breast, Pico, Beans and Fried Plantain. I didn't get rice since I'm watching my carb intake. Truth is, the chicken was DRY and Flat. The beans were beans and I have definitely had much better Pico, which is a little Not Fair since I have had the pleasure of eating Pico several times from Mexican Town, Detroit. Meanwhile the atmosphere seems like nothing special. I could see alot of college age people hanging out in here drinking Long Islands, Average Domestic Beer and their Liquor and Mixer of choice (ala "Rum n Coke". That's cool and everything, but it's also, again, Nothing Special.. So this place gets a 3 all day. Average Food, Average Atmosphere and Average... Well... Everything else..

Great bar food! Definitely deserves 4 stars. Probably the best bar food in town! I've been here twice so far. Had the dolphin sandwich the first time and an ahi salad the second. Both times I had zero complaints. Would like to go back and try one of their "blue plate" dinners.

Giant salads and nice and cool inside. After walking around for a bit we really wanted a place to stop and eat that was cool. This place fit the bill to a t. It was dark inside which made it feel even colder. There are t.v.s everywhere. This looks like a great place to watch a game. I got the Caesar salad. It was huge. It was your basic caesar. Nothing great about it, but nothing wrong. The croutons were actually really good. They tasted homemade. My friend got a Cobb Salad and couldn't finish it all. This place was moderately full during lunch time on a Sunday. I hate dining at places that are empty and I hate waiting for tables. Therefore, I feel like there was the perfect amount of people there!

After a long day passed at the sea we decided to eat out of the hotel. We went to duval street and after a long walk we stopped eating in a restaurant called "jack in the flats". Forced to choose because at 11pm all the restaurants were closed. The restaurant is a typical American restaurant with many tvs and a choice of meat and fish. We could not hope to eat well. Instead we ate very well. I ordered a rum and coke, good and strong as i wanted. Then we ordered an absolutely very good shepherd'pie, delicious. We ordered also a good burger that he arrived cooked to perfection, and a caesar salad fresh and well seasoned. The staff has been very kind with us and the final bill was low. In front of the restaurant there are parking to payment but with five bucks you can leave the car all night.

I'm disappointed as I remember this place so much better. I had the mahi sandwich with sweet potato fries. The fish was very salty and tasted like it had freezer burn and the sweet potato fries were the greasiest I've ever had. The meal was saved though as they had sea dog sunfish beer on draft. The place is good to watch sporting events as they have many giant screen tv's or if you're looking for a late night appetizer. It's a sports bar with seating at a really long bar or in in booths.

This is a wonderful sports bar with amazing food or a great restaurant with wall to wall sports on tv. Not sure how to look at it but either way it is my favorite in Key West. I am not a seafood fan so in fairness to the all the seafood only places this place has a nice mix of seafood and other options. I had a buffalo chicken wrap that was delicious. My friend had buffalo shrimp that was a big hit too. We shared an appetizer of pretzel bread with cheese sauce that was great. Didn't sample desserts because we were stuffed. The staff was friendly, the bar is fun, we watched the first college football of the season and the whole place was cheering and booing as appropriate and all good natured. I have been here twice now and I won't go to Key West without making a visit.

We came in to watch the Gold Cup match USAvsJAM. The Mahi sliders were delicious!! And the coconut shrimp was perfectly breaded and fried. Lots of TV screens to watch your favorite sports and a good draft beer selection. Great place to hang.

We ended up here after waiting too late to dine alfresco. Be aware that, even though this area is full of thriving bars, eating past 930 proves a difficult task. While the air-conditioning was a nice touch, the food and service were severely lacking. The waitress obviously did not know the menu, and when the food did finally arrive in its entirety, I found myself envious of the girl walking past the window with a bag of Wendy's in her hand. Will not be back.

  • Carolyn M.

Nice bar area. Huge. Indoors. Can seat large parties. Reasonable menu prices. Diverse menu. Seafood to steaks. Reasonable priced beer. Air conditioned. No live band. nice background music. Nice place to hang out. Serves food late unlike other places on Duval street. It is after 12:30 am And they offer full menu. Large screen TVs everywhere, But the only sound is from background music. Nice Not loud.

Good place to eat in the Keys. I absolutely love the chili here, very good. Get the tater tots with cheese dipping sauce.

Hands down this is the best bar in Key West. We were in the area on our honeymoon for five days and ate every meal out at different restaurants - Blue Heaven, Southernmost Cafe, NY Pasta Garden - all great, but nothing compares to the food, service and drinks at Jack Flats. I wish they had one in MN - I would visit all the time.

  • Natalie L.

Went here to watch a soccer game during our stay in Key West. Service was okay. You could tell our waitress was overwhelmed with tables. She needed more back-up. Food was alright. Nothing amazing except for the chips and cheesy chili dip (freaking awesome dip). Lots of TVs and projector screens if you're there to watch a game so that's a big plus.

  • Sharyn J.

Great place to watch football and good food. Had the pretzel bread appetizer and us1 sliders w/o catsup. Both were very good. Sliders are closet to northern white castles only better cause the meat tastes real. The homemade cheese sauce that comes with the pretzel bread and tater tots is very good like real cheese no cheese wheez.

I visited this place with my friends. We loved the place and tried the most hot wings in Key West, it was advice by 2 bar tender about the nature of wings. We nailed it and had good time here. They have good selection of draft beers and liquors. The staffs are great and attentive. We enjoyed the place and will come back.

We walked down Duval St in the blazing August heat checking menus at every restaurant we passed. This was the first place we came across that had a somewhat different menu and offered more than seafood, and we were so pleasantly surprised! Had fabulous service, cold ac, and excellent food. We enjoyed the soup of the day- corn chowder; as well as an order of the pretzel bread. A perfect lunch.

If your sports fan looking for the game, this is the place to be. They definitely have all the football games on huge screen TVs for you to watch. The food here is solid bar food, nothing that would knock your socks off, but it all tastes very good. I had the grouper sandwich and enjoyed it a lot. The five other people at my table all seem to enjoy their food and salads were not huge, but well appointed. The burger that my friend had was monstrous, so if you like a challenge, order the burger.

  • Pete F.

I love this place. It bills itself as a sports bar, which it is. However, I love the meals. I would classify their food as great home cooked meals. From the chicken to the meatloaf, it all tastes great. When compared to some of the other "gin mills" in KW, Jack Flats is a more classier venue with the food to go with it. Defiantly not typical bar food. The prices are a good value. Right on famous Duval street, it is in the heart of the business district.

This was our favorite place to eat in Key West. Everything we tried was good and homemade. The Shepard's Pie and meat loaf was really good, and the pretzel bread with homemade cheese sauce was a great appetizer. Highly recommend!

  • Billy K.

Gave me exactly what I needed. A screen to myself to watch the game I was interested in, a sound-box so I could hear the action, cold beer, and decent pub food. It's not the outdoorsy, free-fun time you're looking for in the Keys, but if you need to catch your team playing while you're on the road? Definitely head here.

    (4)
  • Ryan K.

Best sports bar in Key West. Be warned that on the superbowl they are closed to the public and only invite regulars to watch the game.

  • Paul T.

This is a very nice establishment. The beer is cold and the selection is plentiful - Try the Green Flash IPA on tap - Simply delicious. If you get the munchies while you're drinking cold adult beverages, order the wings. I'm from Buffalo and have never had wings outside of Buffalo as good as these.

Great food. Had the Mahi sliders, coconut shrimp, and buffalo shrimp. Atmosphere was great. Service was great. Bathrooms were clean. Prices were reasonable. We liked it so much that we came back again another night during our 5 night stay in Key West.

We wandered in because it was the only place/bar that had food after 10pm. Got the nachos and tator tots. Super good and perfect for what we were looking for!

Found Jack Flats looking for a place to stop at watch the UM game. crowded but not horrible, 6 of us seated quickly. We just wanted to try the craft beers, order appetizers and watch the game on one of their gazillion tv's. we drank: the dogfish head ale, toasted lager and the mississippi mud. The mississippi mud was far the best! we ate: Tex-Mex Rolls, Local Fish bites and the Buffalo Shrimp. All of them were awesome! Definitely would return, food and service were great.

We were hear for March Madness...we had to wait for one game to finish, so that some seat would open up. SweetWater on tap! Delicious pretzel bits and Ruben!

I have been hearing from multiple people and Yelp that the burgers here are great. The first time we were in KW, it was closed. We weren't going to miss out the 2nd time around. We stopped in for lunch. The place just keeps going back. Lot's of seating at the bar and tables. It was lunchtime so it wasn't too busy. We started out with the pretzel and cheese app. We seriously could not get enough of them. Soft pretzels and gooey cheese, greatest combo ever! For main dishes she had the fish sandwich which was pretty darn tasty (she had the tots on the side and we kept the cheese to dip them in...winner) and I had to try their burgers. Well I wasn't disappointed. Cooked juicy and on a bun that held everything together. Their fries were good as well. They have a great selection of beers but not many from FLA. Great bar food, service and atmosphere. I could see it as great place to watch a game as well. Prices are on par with most bars in the area. ENJOY!

  • Donna M.

Great place to watch your favorite sports team (will be there for the 4th game of the NHL Rangers vs Lighting game). The nachos are the best and look like a mountain....be hungry. Most servers can tell you all you need to know about Key West. No outside seating, but, that is okay after a long day in the sun.

  • Bryan M.

We heard good things about this place (mostly about the price). I ordered the Grouper Sandwich which was supposed to be out of this world...it was ok. It is a big sandwich but there just wasn't anything memorable about it.

Had amazing mahi-mahi sliders served with ice cold beers by a great waitress Polly. Her local knowledge is unsurpassed. Affordable, fresh, delicious food surrounded by giant tvs.

Great sports bar atmosphere. Great food. I've had and would highly recommend the fried grouper sandwich (very big an pd very tasty), buffalo shrimp, nachos, wasabi tuna, fish bites, and/or fish and chips. My ten year old said they had the very best French fries ever...agreed.

    (4)
  • Matthew M.

Had a very franchise feel to the place. So not exactly what you are usually looking for in Key West. That being said, the salads were great, the drinks were cheap and the waitress was very good.

    (4)
  • Amy P.

Service isn't the best but loved the food and liked the atmosphere a lot. My fiance and I ordered some sort of TeX Mex rolls and nachos for appetizers and shared a buffalo chicken wrap. We ate almost everything!! Soooo good!!! We couldn't resist. Would def. Come back again. They offer a lot of beer to drink and although I am not a beer drinker they have woodchuck raspberry so it was perfect.

Best burger in town. Great bar, great service, great sports TVs. Not much else to say.

Excellent Thanksgiving dinner with NFL football. Who would have thought of eating here for this holiday? We had made other plans, however, our restaurant is under renovation this year. Jack Flats was a good! Their food is homemade and tasty. The Bears played, all happened to fall into place. Turkey and meatloaf dinners, with most of the works - mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans - with dessert - and beers, coffee, iced tea... and in key West!

    (4)
  • Paul P.

This is NOT the place you want to eat in Key West. Our meal was like every other chain, but poorly cooked and seasoned. There's so much good food in this town. Eat somewhere else.

    (2)
  • Heather G.

WOO! We finally found a normal place on our Key West honeymoon. All we wanted was normal prices and normal food.. with good TVs to watch football. We found it! This place is huge and has, I think, 22 TVs and screens. Something like that. Our server was Jordan. He let us know he had recently moved from being host to a server, and he deserved it. He gave us the best service we received our whole trip. We let him know we were down there to get married, etc, and he arranged for us to get a couple free shots. He also asked if we wanted a free beer that was ordered incorrectly. Super nice guy. We got the queso, Southwest salad (I think that's what it is called) and Grouper sandwich. They were all exactly what we were looking for: easy, tasty food. The head bartender was pretty much amazing and didn't leave anyone waiting for more than 2 minutes it seemed. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a chill place.

  • Ashley S.

Jack Flats was absolutely DELICIOUSSSSSSSS. I ordered a shrimp club sandwich because I have never had anything like that before. If you are a shrimp lover, you will not regret ordering it. They didn't skimp out at all on the shrimp, like most places do, and as a matter of fact I had shrimp falling out because there was so much. My boyfriend got a buffalo chicken wrap, and the flavor was superb. Our waiter was always on top of it, and we had not one, but two managers check in on us to verify that everything was more than satisfactory. Would definitely recommend this place! YUM!!
